Lanikai Beach is lined with houses, and some people keep their boats in their back yard, as you can see here in the background.

I made a door of sorts on this side of the tower. The door/cave goes into the tower along the fault line that developed when I was first stacking the sand and the tower collapsed. The fault remained--a gap about 1/2 inch wide was running pretty much all the way through the lower center of the tower. Fortunately, it stayed standing.

In the foreground, you can see part of the sand smoothed recently by a strong wave that made it all the way up to the fortress.
