My friend Dave Garcia once gave me the idea to build a barrier wall. I told him if the tide was getting that close, it would take too much time to worry about a wall and the tide would probably wipe it away in about the same amount of time as it took to build, so it would be a waste of time. I would really have to be desperate to build a barrier wall.
