The fortress, with the deserted Bellows Beach in the background.

In the right, foreground, you can make out the Kahuna Head built into the outer wall and below it, the huge foundation under the fortress--a requirement for protection against the harsh Bellows Beach tide. Inside the fortress, you can see one of the intake filters surrounded by sand, smoothed by water--the result of me kicking a bucket of water over to test the drainage system. The object on the left of the far wall with the vertical ridges is the back of the energy generator.
