SF4020 was built on Bellows Beach, and it's the first one that I took pictures of. It had two triangular columns defining the front. Such dramatic elements for the front of the structure would become a common feature of subsequent fortresses. The weather was uncommonly poor that day and I was alone on the beach. I didn't mind the weather, nor the seclusion.

-Shut up and get to the pictures-

At the time I built this fortress, I knew nothing about the tides except, of course, that they went in and out. I didn't know when though. I built the foundation of this fortress and the tide was apparently coming in because the fortress almost immediately began flooding. The drainage system worked perfectly, and I got some great shots of it in action. Many pictures show the drainage system without much or even any of the fortress constructed, making them good studies of the drainage system itself.

The weather was cloudy and it rained intermittently, but it was not cold, even though it looks like it in some of the photos.
