While waiting for Mark and JD to return, Bobbi
seeks advice and knowledge from the neighborhood wise man, who explains to
her how she can attain total vigilance.
She asks the wise man why the cement porch is so mesmerizing to her, and asks why it tells
her to eat grass when that always makes her vomit. She goes on
to ask why she was
never allowed to have kittens, and why people laugh at her when she
carries her fake kitten around in her mouth. She then asks how she
can carry a can of gasoline from the garage to the basement of the house
in the middle of the night,
and how to light matches, all without an opposable thumb and forefinger.
The wise man tells Bobbi that
the answers to all of life's mysteries can be found in her cat box.
